Something to sit on.....

I had this awesome experience a few weeks ago. I had a booth at the Plymouth, MI Green Street Fair. It was ok, not as many innovative ideas as I would have liked to see, but 2 booths that stuck out and I have to share all about them.

1. Tickle Me Pink - online web store
http://ticklemepinkstore.com/default.aspx
At frist I would observe this booth, thinking "There is this sign out there that says 'for happier, healthier periods'." It sounded interesting, and I have never heard of such a thing. I am talking about a Lunette Menstrual Cup. I am not going to go into details because I think the website does a superior job of this. But I have to say I have sucessfully used this product for my first time, and LOVED, LOVED, LoVeD it! I didn't have to use ANY tampons, and it was so easy, and comfortable. I felt great, along with not having the cramps like I had before. I will never go back, and I will be sure to tell women about this awesome resource! Thanks so much to Susan, she was the most nicest person to ask any question to! :)

2. Marmalade Hills
www.MarmaladeHills.com
They Specialize in handmade oils, cold process soaps, soy candles (those are cool) and I got a free sample of soap, LOVED it, and I also purchased the massage oil, and I can not rave about it enough. She is a mom of young kids like myself, and I loved her devotion to the products being organic, and that her secret is what is in nature. (just like shaklee!) I would love for her goal one day to come true and that is to have her products in salons. They are definately superior quality!

Earth Day around the Corner!!

With Earth Day around the corner I think of some cool things about how more and more ppl are getting the green movement!

I am so excited, one of my business partners said the best thing and I couldn't agree anymore! "Shaklee is a company with over 50 years of experience making quality, healthy, "green" products. You wont find it in stores or on T.V. You'll find it in homes that want to make a difference and start making tomorrow, today! The Future is in our hands, and the more hands, the merrier!" Lindsey Fisher, Shaklee Independent Distributor

I love, love, love that! And it is so true!

Here is a great earthday video...

Hey if Shaklee is good enough for The White House, Oprah, Rachel Ray, and Arnold~it's good enough for you! :)

consumers....

It is so hard for the general population to go to any store and make a better choice. Today I was in Target with a friend and I was talking to her how since I have switched to green products I even still have some out that are not good. So we saw this soap and it was definately 'cute', 'fun', and the product could sell itself. They even have a flashy website. They are proud of the fact that they don't use by-products, and the packaging is recycable. However, it has what most other brands of soap have, Triclosan. On there website they even admit how "At this time our research has shown that the anti-bacterial hand soaps do not offer any added benefits when compared to following proper hand washing techniques. This has also been confirmed in numerous other tests by other labs as well as documented that the levels of triclosan (a mild antibiotic) maybe creating mutant strains of bacteria that eventually become resistant to antibiotics." http://www.itzazukidz.com/faq.html

I also noted a ingredient in most of the soaps, SLS.... Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It helps the products 'foam up' That is a big no no when getting any item. Here is a nifty website:

http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/sodium-lauryl-sulfate.html

But worse with having products that have SLS in them here is the real scare:

http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/sls-health-implications.html

I honestly can not imagine where we will be in 5 years with all these products on the market. Gosh we think the world is crazy now....just wait.

NPE

A caution to all: This checimal is not on the ingredient list, unless the company chooses to disclose that information. (rember no regulation here with chemicals in the products we buy). I tried to search for the products that do contain NPE, and no such luck! (wonder why they don't want us to know?)

Detergents with NPE

Nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) are chemicals that help liquid substances such as oil and water mix. They are found in laundry detergents, shampoos, and cleaners. These chemicals can mimic the hormone estrogen to cause early mensturation, low sperm counts and poor reproductive health.

Listen what DOW had to say about it: "These NPE surfactants are used anywhere there is a need for increased surface activity, and provide excellent all-purpose detergency and wetting, as well as solubilization and emulsification." http://http//www.dow.com/surfactants/products/nonylph.htm

WOW---That my friends is not cool...

So I offer you the best.

Why not choose a company that is ALL for you, and commited to ensure you that the products you use are made with you and the earth in mind?

SOLUTION for you:

With Shaklee you can feel confident that there products work, safe, and good for the earth!

Great brochure I found!

Savings any way you look at it!

So I think this picture is so powerful on how cost effective it is to switch cleaning products! I bought this bottle of cleaner for $10.35 and the bottles for $6.90. Total plus tax= $18.28.

When you look at it you may think $18! That is a lot! However would it mean something to you if I said, I have had that same bottle of cleaner since September 8th! Now it is December 14 and I haven't gotten to 1/4 of it being gone! So think of it as so far I have invested just under $5 for cleaning products to use in 3 months!

Now here is the cooler part: It was introduced in 1960 as one of the FIRST general-purpose biodegradable cleaner. Since then, NO other cleaner has offered as much versatility. It provides concentrated cleaning that is suitable for a variety of household cleaning needs -- even the toughest jobs. Yet, Basic-H delivers SAFE, EFFICIENT cleaning power without contributing to environmental pollution. It offers a unique performance advantages over many types of cleaners, from porcelain, ceramic, and tile cleaners, to car wash soaps. It also works on delicate washables, dishes, and on surfaces such as windows and mirrors. I have heard of people using it for removing blood, car brake grease, leather cleaner, stains and more!

Did you ever think?

Did you ever think about if you used Tide to wash your laundry, and if you happened to go under a blacklight and there are spots all over your cloths??? What is that stuff? That shouldn't be there.

My thoughts on that are the detergent doesn't work all that well and it is left stuck in your cloths. Think about how green that is!

If you notice this happens to your cloths, you may want to consider switching to : http://sweet2begreen.myshaklee.com/us/en/products.php?sku=00066

Grease!

So I couldn't believe that I did not soak my husbands workpants which had grease on them. I just did a regular load of laundry, and added the "Laundry Booster" to the load, it wasn't much, just a half scoop that was provided. When the pants were done they were super clean, not a speck of grease on them! That is definately a product worth trying out! You know how many times I have had to soak his cloths to get stains out? That is way cool!

Is your home Natural?

I have been cleaning with all of the shaklee products and I have not had a complaint about them at all! In fact, I get excited thinking that my 7.5 month old can crawl and put those hands in her mouth and I don't have to worry about what chemicals are on the floor from cleaning them!!!

So far I have been using the 'Vitalizer' for about 2 weeks, I can not tell you how much I notice a difference!! IT'S HUGE! I am considering saying it is essential in order to survive motherhood! This definitely give me all the focus and energy I have been longing for! If you are a mom, this is the solution to you!

How natural is your house?

Today we washed the wood floors and they came out very nice :) I was so excited to say that if Miranda (my 7.5month old) is crawling on the floors she can put her hands in her mouth and I know she will have no transferring of toxins and chemicals! Wouldn't it be cool if I don't have to worry about eczema with her? I now wonder if it was Murphy's oil soap that is the reason for for my 4 year old daughter to have eczema? You never know!

Ahhh :)

What a beautiful day it was! I had a mom2mom sale and found it interesting how many people knew of Shaklee! One conversation from a man was very interesting, he asked me if they still have vita-lea, and I said that they do. He was telling me when he younger and he flew a lot he would get bad headaches and the only thing that stopped them from coming was the vita-lea. He is not the first person to mention that vitamin helping with headaches. How neat is that?

So far with my Shaklee experience it has been great. The vitamins are so great and I am amazed with my energy! I can't say I have ever had a vitamin that I noticed and reeked the benefits from!
